NAS FIND / GET STARTED
Get started with NAS Find
Build the index on your NAS, then connect from your everyday devices.
Prepare the NAS service
You need a Linux / Docker-capable NAS, a readable data directory and a separate configuration directory outside the indexed files. Desktop file opening also requires an accessible SMB share.
Follow the deployment guide to set your own paths, local IP address, allowed networks and user permissions before starting the service. Keep the configuration directory to preserve credentials and indexes.

Open your configured NAS service address. Sign in using the password file in the configuration directory, then try a known filename once indexing is complete.
A healthy container means HTTP is reachable. Check the page status to confirm the index is ready. Multiple shares need individual directory and SMB mappings.
Multi-share & Unraid setup (Chinese) ↗Connect your devices
Windows: enter the service address and confirm SMB access. Mac: connect to the SMB share in Finder, then enter its actual mount path. Android: enter the service address and password, or scan the connection QR code from the desktop client.
Your phone must be able to reach the NAS network. The QR code contains the access password; only share it between your own devices. The web interface is at your NAS service address.

Enter part of a filename, add space-separated keywords, then filter by file type, extension, share or directory. On desktop, double-click to open a file or reveal its folder.
Android opens documents as temporary copies; edits do not write back to the NAS. For batches of results, copy paths or export a file list.
